Dun do thing that will make you regert

There are many times that I heard people's story about traveling, about living overseas, I always have the same expression, " Wow, so good. I also want." Everytime, people would talk about how fragile life is. People can be healthily talking to you today and left the next day. I don't want to be like that too. I still have many thing in life that I have not done yet. So, I'm not going to allow myself to feel regert anymore. I'm going to fight what I want and enjoy every single day. Do it first, decied later. If don't do that, I will not move ahead but keep walking on the spot.

Korea life - day 268 (week 39) / (Seoul) Jeju black pork BBQ

Korea Life - 17 November  2014 (day 268 week 39)

Today did some light studying at home alone as tonight will be joining some friend to have dinner at Jamsil. Although all of us staying at the same station, but all at different exit, so we decided to meet all at the platform of the subway station will do. However only LJ arrive on time, so I went ahead to Jamsil with her first, the rest will just join us later.

Normally, during dinner time, queues will start to form as the food here are popular among Korean too, since LJ and I reach there first, we queue up first. Although the store is not facing the main road, but the place was not very different to find (if you did your research before heading over). Maybe because we reach there before 6pm, the queue has not started to form but there were quite lot of people inside already eating. We waited for awhile first then (before the queue starts to form up) headed in to reserve a table.

Surprising the place was very big so actually there is no need to wait too long for our turn. Was very surprise with the size of the barbecue plate !! SUPER BIG !! Took up almost the whole table, only left some place for side dishes only. We didn't need to wait long and the rest has joined us around the table. We ordered pork and seafood which many people recommence to give a try, the waiter helps us to bbq everything while we just have to sit there and wait for the food to be cook. When we still left bait more, we order rice and they made cheese fried rice using the remaining kimchi that we didn't eat (and add some seaweed and spring onion in too) in front of us.

By the time we left the place, I thought my tummy was going to burst !! Eat until too full !! The serve alot of side dishes and the main point is that the side dishes are ALL FREE OF CHARGE !! AND YOU CAN REFILL AS MANY TIME AS YOU LIKE !! Therefore you are only paying for the main dishes (which is the pork and seafood (if you don't want, you can just order without seafood)). With so many free side dishes, the price don't look so expensive any more. I won't mind coming back for second round the next time !!

Korea Life - Day 267 (week 39) / (Seoul) Pikachu !!

Korea Life - 16 November 2014 (day 267 week 39)

Met with some classmate to head down to DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) to see Pikachu. Sound very odd but they are so cute that no one know how to hate them !!! We met up during late afternoon, took the subway to Dongdaemun history and culture park station. While waiting for them to come, they sent a message saying that they went to the wrong station, so they would be late !! So I went off to look around at the exhibit hall first

They came looking for me once they arrived at DDP. We walked around the exhibit hall first, but the exhibit hall was much smaller than expect so we were able to finish in no time then we went to look for the actual area to wait for the big group of Pikachu but they can't be found. There was only a small queue waiting to take picture with Pikachu. Since we were already there and we can't find the big group Pkachu, then at least need to take picture with it. If this happens in Singapore, I will turn and walk away as it's sure a kiddy thing to do but its totally different here in Korea ! As most of the people that was queue, was adult couples ! Not as many children as adults. So there is no reason for us to feel odd, so we join the super long queue.

The queue was quite long, we had to queue from outdoor, slowly then it move toward indoor till the event hall. Due to the amount of people were quite alot, Pikachu had to go for "toilet break"and send another Pikachu out to take picture with the crowd. People was rushing to take picture of Pikachu when it's leaving for its "toilet break", we were also the few "people" who went chasing Pikachu to take picture of him!!

After 2 hours of queue, finally got to take picture with it !! Although is kind of stupid but I had fun! And that is the most important thing ! We had dinner at Dongdaemun (which is just opposite) as we were all so tired and cold, we just want something warm to warm us up. So we just randomly enter a store that was selling Japanese hotpot, we orders and chit-chat while waiting for the food, however when the food was serve, we felt like we kenna cheated as the amount of food on the menu and it serve out was so different (The amount on the menu seem alot , but the amount of food really serve doesn't seem enough for us!). And we wasn't full at all after we finished the food, what a waste of money !!

Yahoo article - 3 Surprising Qualities That Will Get You Hired

After staying in Korea for a year now, it's really time for me to start looking for a job and settle down in Singapore once again. When looking for a job, the one thing that I always hate the most was interview. I believe it's because I can't bring myself to open up to stranger easily therefore I can't bring myself to talk freely to someone that I don't know, but after staying overseas for a year now, I believe that I'm able to talk to stranger much easier than before but I still hate interviews. Maybe below article could help me to get hire much easier. Really hope that it can help me to get a job soon.

Cut and paste from - http://finance.yahoo.com/news/3-surprising-qualities-hired-170000780.html;_ylt=AwrwNF3T2stUFHUAUJ8j4gt.;_ylu=X3oDMTByN2RnanRxBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA3NnMwR2dGlkAw--

3 Surprising qualities that will get you hired

Most people know that qualities like intelligence, adaptability, integrity, and an ability to lead are all appealing to employers. But here are three more characteristics that you may not have realised can also help you land a job:

1. An ambidextrous brain

"We live in a world increasingly dominated by data, but if all you can do is read a spreadsheet, you won't reach the highest level," writes Sir Martin Sorrell, founder and CEO of WPP, a multinational advertising and public relations company, in a recent LindedIn post. "Success in business means being able - as Roger Martin of the Rotman School of Management puts it - to appreciate qualities, not just quantities. "

The intangibles of judgment, creativity, intuition, and imagination, he says, are essential for great leaders, "because they are the things that make innovation happen." And they're "just as important as logic, financial literacy, and an eye for detail."

2. The ability to argue

It's annoying when people disagree with you, Sorrell explains, "but an argument is usually a more constructive exchange than a conversation in which everyone wholeheartedly agrees with each other." Plus, an ability to argue shows you're passionate and willing to fight for what you believe it.

"If a leader is surrounded by yes people they learn nothing," he says. "Good people know how to stand their ground and make their case - even (especially) when others don't want to hear what they're saying."

But just remember that in arguing, especially at work, you should always be smart, effective, rational, and cordial.

3. Fast decision-making skills

"I used to say, perhaps unwisely, that a bad decision on Monday is better than a good decision on Friday," Sorrell says. "With the benefit of hindsight I might have modified that to 'an imperfect decision on Monday is better than the 100% perfect decision on Friday.' Either way, you get the point."

He says if and when you take too much time to make a decision, "others are getting on with things and building a lead."
