Dun do thing that will make you regert

There are many times that I heard people's story about traveling, about living overseas, I always have the same expression, " Wow, so good. I also want." Everytime, people would talk about how fragile life is. People can be healthily talking to you today and left the next day. I don't want to be like that too. I still have many thing in life that I have not done yet. So, I'm not going to allow myself to feel regert anymore. I'm going to fight what I want and enjoy every single day. Do it first, decied later. If don't do that, I will not move ahead but keep walking on the spot.

Yahoo article - Daniel Wang Tribute : The Man who Banned Chewing Gum

Growing up in a country which banned chewing gum, I got to enjoy walking down the street no need to worry that I will step or sit on gum that was anyhow threw by other people. Although people from other country can't understand why we would ban chewing gum but I'm glad that we had this rule!

For Singapore who wants to eat chewing gum, they would have to either cross the border to Malaysia or go overseas then they will be are able to enjoy the fun of chewing gum. At that time, I will always ask why Singapore don't allow people to eat chewing gum but Malaysia allow ? But after I had sick of chewing gum, I quit eating chewing gum even after going to Malaysia.

During my stay in Korea, there are many times that I kept stepping on to gum that was anyhow threw by other people. I will be like "What the H***", or "I WANT TO GO BACK TO SINGAPORE" (because this is a issue that we will never need to face in Singapore).

Actually I have no clue when did this rule started and who was the one who created this rule, until I saw this article below. I'm glad that Singapore has this rule and I hope all Singapore are glad too.

Daniel Wang Tribute: The man who Banned Chewing Gum.

He is the reason why don't see spittoons in coffershops served by 'kopi kia' wearing shabby pyjama pants anymore. "That spittoon is a planet of bacteria and have you seen how often those kopi kias in their dirty jambes scratch their bollocks before they serve you your cuppa? " he once told me before adding "they alway miss when spitting, so I banned them", leaving me in amusement. Daniel Wang was the key man responsible for some of the cleaner habits we all enjoy and practise today such as flagging out hawkers "who stick a dirty thumb in the noodle soup while carrying it to your table". They use food trays now.
Coffee-Shop
Old coffee shops like these used to have
spittoons placed underneath each table.

Daniel passed away on the 17th of March at age 71, and in so many unseen and unheralded ways, we have much to thank him and his team for indirectly creating and preserving the local.

This former civil servant once led a team back in the 60s and 70s (as an officer in the then Ministry of Environment) to systematically remove itinerant hawkers off the streets and into hawker centres. Although it was an environmental exercise (clean up street drains, waterways, dirty streets and clear up traffic paths etc), it created this street for legacy of ours vis-a-vis hawker centres.

I learnt so much abut our street food heritage tales from him and I will too miss him. His last gig in the civil service was as the Director General of Public Health with the National Environment Agency. He retired a few years back before serving as a consultant to food companies and we had numerous chomping exploration trips around the island. Once, over popiah, he regaled his unenviable task of banned chewing gum in Singapore, whispering after "but it's actually good for gum health and that's why it's still used for medical reasons today. But I was under instructions."
Bedok Hawker Center2
Daniel wang is one of the main reasons behind our
current enjoyment of hygienic hawker centres.

He also played a big role in the prevention and containment of SARS in Singapore a decade ago. He said "I was very honoured as the Director General  of WHO (World Health Organisation) Dr Magaret Chan, asked for my advice and views in the matter. "

Daniel also served as a council Member of the World Street Food Congress, a position he readily took up when asked. Among his many ideas like helping other organisations and countries implement better hygiene and safety practices in street food operations, was this idea about bring a so-called Thai Mee Siam (which does not exit in Thailand) back to that land of smiles. It was funny in a way, yet practical.
WSFC
Daniel Wang (second from the left), listening attentively
to one of the speakers at World Street Food Congress 2013

The story about how he and his team had to fend off and fool sly hawkers and protective gangsters into allowing their "members" into newly built hawkers centres way back, is one I will always remember. "You cannot tell them we are relocating them to a custom built hawker centre space and in short, make their business, legit". So Daniel and his team told each of the thousands of street hawkers about how "Government now wants to record them, their location and issue licenses, which means they had to pay rentals and taxes.". The idea was to prevent the fly-by-night hawkers from suddenly taking up spots on the streets to claim legitimacy. They later announced the hawker centre project and today, there are about 107 such food centres (with over 10 more to be built in the coming decade) where thousand of honest hawkers benefitted from that project, which in a way, helped preserve the local food heritage.

Daniel, you truly are a Pioneer Generation architect of Singapore and I am honoured to have known you. Rest in peace and may we continue our makan sessions when we next meet.
HeadshotDaniel Wang, may you rest in peace.

Yahoo article - Expert Reveals 11 Small Diet Changes To Lose Weight and Slim Down Easily

Tell me which girl had never done diet before ? I won't say I never did before but I won't said out loudly too that I had too because all I did was just control the food that I eat because I hate to do exercise. There was a point that my parent were so worry about my weight, they sent me to the hospital to take a weight losing program (which turn out to be a total waste of money). However ever since I moved to Korea to stay alone, I have been losing quite a lot of weight. Maybe because there is a change in the eating habit and no more over-eating (as my family member tend to eat too much during the weekends). Although now I still living in Korea, but I hope to lose a few more KG before heading back or else I don't know how to lose when I'm back home with so many good food staring at all time from time !!

Expert Reveals 11 small diet changes to lose weight and slim down easily

Do you spend all your time and energy on working out, and still find yourself stuck with that stubborn fat that refuses to go away? Thing is, no matter how much you stress on your workout, a few nutritional mistakes can cause a major setback to your weight loss goals. And that is precisely what happens with stubborn fat. So, to get your weight loss goals to churn massive results, and your efforts to slim down pay up positively, all you need to do is bring in some small changes in your diet.

Here are a few secrets that can make all the difference in maximising your weight loss efforts and elimination fat.

Small Change #1

Add salads to all your meals. Salads make you feel fuller for a longer period of time, controlling your fat content and filling you up on low calorie foods. So, add this small mantra to your diet.

Small Change #2

add soup made from vegetables in your meals. This will help to increase your vegetable intake. A bowl soup is simply a bowl of cooked vegetables. And, vegetables contain a host of nutrients and antioxidants. They are a rich source of fibre, which helps to regulate the digestive system and maintain the health of your digestive tract. You can also add vegetable juices for the same effect.

Small Change #3

Have the fruit, instead of going for juice. Eating a fruit will add more tiber in your diet, which will keep you fuller longer, minus the extra calories of the packed juices. Also a fruit, when pressed or squeezed to make juice, loses most of its nutritional value in addition to finer and some water double vitamins. Fruit juice that has lost its finer and large amounts of nutrients is basically just a concentrated source of sugar that is deficient in nutrients. These nutrients that are present in fruits, supplement your digestion and metabolism. So eat your fruits, instead of drinking them up!

Small Change #4

Green tea has achieved worldwide fame for its metabolism-boosting properties. So why not add it to your diet? The green tea also contains catechins that are high in antioxidants, so you will fell more energetic despite all the calorie cuts and hard workouts. Drinking green tea not only keeps you hydrated enough to work out for a longer duration, but also helps to burn stubborn fat more effectively.

Small Change #5

Use less quantity of oil to make your meals. Stick to 3-4 teaspoon of oil per person, per day. A little oil is required by our body, but eating too much oil, especially if it is refined or saturated, will lead to cardiovascular diseases and high cholesterol. What's more? It might hamper your weight loss goals too.

Small Change #6

Snack on Nuts. They would make your "in-between snacks" nutritious and not something just to fill you up. Nuts, dry fruits can be fun and healthy. They are natural good quality fat, high quality protein, finer dense and powerhouse of vitamins and minerals. So, whenever you feel those mid-meal hunger pangs calling out, grab some nuts.

Small Change #7

Cut white sugar from your diet as far as possible. Eat natural sugars that are found in dry fruits, like dates, figs, prunes, etc. These can satisfy your sweet cravings as well as keep untimely hunger pangs at bay. Aviod colas, soft drinks as they have added sugar and no nutritional value. Water would be the best option, so make it your best friend is something you will hear every nutritionist tell you.

Small Change #8

You need to make sure that you stay hydrated. Sometimes what may look like stubborn fat is nothing but water retention. As you work out hard to lose weight and also increase your protein intake to build muscle mass, your body could be releasing more toxins. To flush them out of your system, make sure you drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. While this will effectively remove all toxic waste build-up, it will also accelerate your accelerate your metabolism to build more muscle and burn off that stubborn fat.

Small Change #9

Learn how to break up your meals. While you might be tempted to try a new low-calorie diet as a desperate attempt to lose that stubborn fat, it is really the last thing your body would want you to do. Such a diet will do nothing but reduce your metabolism, which will make shedding that excess weight all the more difficult. Instead, opt for low-calorie mini-meals every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism skyrocketed.

Small Change #10

Shift to whole grains. Go for, whole grain breads, brown rice, etc., as these have higher fibre content in them. Increasing the consumption of dietary fibre is essential in weight loss because it keep you fuller for a longer period of time.

Small Change #11

Do not mix grains in one meal as you end up eating more. So try and choose between bread or rice or pasta or roti, but avoid mixing them.

Small Change # 12

Well, those were 11 small diet changes that you can introduce to bring huge weight loss and get rid of fat effectively. But, along with diet, your lifestyle matters too. So, let me make it 11+1 as I tell you about a few simply lifestyle changes that can boost your weight loss goal further. Korea life Day 224 (week 32) / (Seoul) Firework festival

Korea Life - 4 Oct (Day 224 week 32)

Today is the Seoul International Fireworks Festival (서울세계불꽃축제), knowing that lot of people will be going but it's a once a lifetime chance or else next time don't know need to wait till when. (as there is no Internatinal firework festival in Singapore)

[A event that Korea held every year - http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_2_1.jsp?cid=790394]

I arranged to meet Qi at the subway station of Yeouido station however I waited at the wrong station for her !! No wonder I waited for so long also never see her at all (she normally cine ob tine) Took the subway back to the correct station

We haven't reach outside of the station, we could see lot of people gathering around everywhere ! People were all sitting on the grass, chatting away, eating snack (or fried chicken). We find a place to sit down like the other and luckily I come prepare, I put newspaper and we sat over it. We chat away while waiting for the time to past. After 2 hours of chatting, we realise is dinner time soon but we don't want to left our spot so we just went to buy fried chicken to eat. Many people were selling fried chicken from different store at every part of the park, I don't even need to walk far and I can find someone selling already. Well, for non-korean, all brand fried chicken taste the same to me, so I just anyhow buy one brand and went back to look for Qi.

The firework officially starts at 8pm. We didn't noticed that the stage was quite far away from where we sit, when the show starts, people starts running closer to see clearer. Of course, that means that we also run toward that side. Because everyone was standing around and squeezing together, trying to have a clear and wide view of the firework, we had to squeeze with them too. The show was much longer than imaging, so after watching for half an hour, we decided to leave first as we think later confirm will be even more different to go back.

However when we were trying to walk to subway station, we were stuck in the human traffic for more than half an hour (which is only 100m away from the park) before we could enter into the subway station !! TOTALLY UNABLE TO SEE ANY GAP AT ALL !! Took us half and hour to come from our place to the park but took us 1.5 hrs to reach back home !! So tired, tmr still got school.

Yahoo article - 7 Exercises That Burn The Most Calories

When I was studying, I always hate to attend Physical Education, I will find all kind of reason to skip that lesson. Why do I do that ? Because I'm always lazy when come to exercise. My mum always nags at me when I just sit down after dinner or I kept laying down and don't want to move at all. I don't like to do exercises because I'm overweight (which actually give me more reason to do exercise!!) and I tend to feel tired very easily. I don't like the feeling, so I don't like to exercises. But I do like to walk, I can walk for 3 to 4hrs when I'm on travelling. After reading below article, I believe that I will continue to just do walking will do.

Cut and Paste from - https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/news/7-exercises-burn-calories-090000570.html

7 Exercises that burn the most calories

They say any exercise is better than non, and it's true. But some workouts are proven to have better results than others in a shorter space of time. Switching your morning run to interval training for instance, is a weight-loss no brainer if you want a beach-ready bod in a matter of weeks.

Mindless machine use may tone a little, but it takes intense workouts to seriously sculpt and shred the pounds. Here are 7 exercises to get you started.

HIIT
7 Exercises That Burn The Most Calories

HITT (or High Intensity Interval Training) is ideal for those who want to get trim on a tight schedule. This workout consists of high intensity exercise teamed with short periods of rest. Alternating bursts of intense exercise with recovery segments burns fat super-fast, offering a maximum, full-body workout in no time at all.

Have a spare 15 minutes? Hit the streets and sprint for 30 seconds, followed by jumping jacks, skater lunges or jump squats for 30 seconds, and then rest: a brisk walk for job for 30 seconds. Approach it at a 2:1 ration; two high intensity exercises vs. one rest. Repeat the pattern, gradually increasing your exercise times minute by minute, matching it with the same amount of rest, e.g. two minutes running, two minutes skater lunging, two minutes rest.

Not only does interval training burn calories incredibly effectively, it also promotes excellent cardiovascular health. Pushing your heart to the limit improves your cardio ability and keeps it and strong, ready for the next workout.

Kettlebells
If you want to lose the pounds celeb style, invest in a kettlebell - they're the training tool of the moment. The likes of Kim Basinger and Jennifer Aniston swear by this workout to stay slim.

The weight of a kettle bell isn't evenly distributed. This in turn makes your stabiliser muscles work that bit harder, targeting key area like the core, arms and bum for maximum toning effect.

And it doesn't just sculpt; in one 20-minute workout you can burn approximately 300 calories! Incorporate them into your favourite exercises. The 'Russian Kettlebell swim' is great for the flutes; simply stand up straight, feet hip-width apart, bend the knees slightly and slowly (and safely) swing the kettlebell between your legs for 20 reps. Other moves to try: the kettle bell lunge press, the Russian twist and the figure eight at 20 reps a go.
Kickboxing (REX)Kickboxing (REX)

Kickboxing

Blast the calories with kick boxing. It’s great for releasing pent-up aggression whilst also strengthening your core and improving your balance. Unlike running, kickboxing enables you to tone and trim muscles you wouldn’t ordinarily use, working both the upper and lower body.
Importantly, it’s also amazing fun, giving you greater incentive to stick at it. According to the American Council on Exercise (ACE), ‘women can burn between 350 to 450 calories’ during a kickboxing session. Punch away the pounds – it’s the perfect stress-buster.

Skipping

If you’re bored of the gym, try playground tactics and dig out the skipping rope. Skipping isn’t just for children, and works almost every muscle in the body – bringing you closer to your weight loss goals with every jump. It also gets the heart pumping, which is essential for burning calories fast. In an hour, there’s the potential to burn a massive 750 calories says the National Institutes of Health.
Have fun with it! Vary your skipping with different speeds, moves and intensities. Hop, cross-skip or double up with a partner if you’re brave enough. And even if you haven’t got a skipping rope, jumping jacks are a great muscle workout, wherever you may be.

Swimming

Don your cap and take a dip in the pool – swimming can burn between 500 and 700 calories an hour. As a low- impact sport, it’s one of the best exercises for the body; toning and strengthening key muscles without causing any harm. If you suffer from any musculoskeletal conditions, swimming is the calorie-burning exercise for you.
Breaststroke or front crawl, they both work every muscle; sculpting your arms, legs, abs, the lot.

Cycling

Beat the morning traffic and commute by cycling. It’s one of the best cardio exercises around, especially if you want to perfect those pins. Unlike running, cycling targets the hip and leg muscles worked during squats / leg presses, promoting tight, toned thighs and glutes.
It’s perfect for all ages, and can burn up to 700 calories in a one-hour ride. If stationary bikes aren’t your thing, pedal with friends and make it sociable. Half hour sessions two to three times a week enhance strength and endurance, improve cardio fitness levels and shred the pounds all in one.

Walking

Never underestimate the power of walking. It tones and trims the belly fat without you even noticing. It strengthens bones, helps the heart and is a lot easier on joints than many other exercises.
You can always up your game and increase your climb with a good hike. Out in the fresh air, it works muscles that you can’t even with a treadmill incline. And don’t be afraid to bring a little support. According to The Cooper Institute, ‘Nordic poles’ can help you burn up to 20 per cent more calories when walking. Or get the heart pumping with a stepping machine. It boosts the metabolism and the calories fly off!.

Korea Life - day 217 (week 31) / (Seoul) DMZ Trip

Korea Life - 27 Sept (Day 217 week 31 )

Our school always arrange some trip for foreigner to go out with Korean to understand Korea more. For the peat few months because the trip wasn't very interesting so I never enroll to any of the trip but this month, they arrange a trip to DMZ (Demilitarised Zone)

For those who are not familiar with it, check out this website to learn more about it - https://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_4_1.jsp

Heard that there is many places around there that we won't be able to go if we don't go with tour. And it cost much more if go with travel tour (around 89,000 KRW for a half day tour). This time the school trip only cost 27,000 KRW and at least there will be one or two people I know even if we are not from the same class.

Headed to school to meet up with the others first, I was one of the earliest to arrive at the classroom, so I just sat down and wait for the others to come. We were split into a few smaller group with one or two Korean in each group. I was split into a group with only me in the level 4 and other are from lower level and my classmate were split into other groups. I was alone in the group but I'm quite fine being alone.

They lead us from Hyehwa station to Seoul station in small group as they worry that if we travel in big groups will get lost even easier. We waited for the rest at the ticket counter of Seoul Station since we reach there before than the others, then we board the train once everyone arrive. The train design with lot of colours and it stand out right away. After taking all the picture of the train, we board the train and waited for the train to depart. While waiting for the train to depart, surprising there are lot of pretty lot of Korean parents brought their kids along this trip and they all seem quite excited about the trip.
Before we arrive at the check point, the staff pass a sheet of paper for us to fill in which route we want to take as there are extra charge to the different route that we choose and most of us chose to walk down the <Third Infiltration Tunnel>. When we arrived at the check point, our passport has to be check and they will give us a pass and we will have to wear it when we are on the trip.

Once we arrive at the final stop, we were asked to board a shuttle bus and we headed to our first stop <Aegibong Peak Observatory>. At this peak, we have a great view of a wide expanse of North Korean land. The area is frequented by people who left North Korea during the Korean War and became settled in the South after the war. But there are too many people trying to take a look for it, I just take a look and walked away, I don't think there is a need to spend so much time to see something that is so far and so small.

Luckily this morning I packed kimbap and some candy in bag before I headed out, and thank god I packed those food. Ate some on the bus when we were travelling to the second point <The 3rd Tunnel Park>. It was first discovered in 1978, the tunnel was designed for a surprise attack on the Republic of Korea by the North. The tunnel is 1.7km long, 2m high and 2m wide. It is a prime example of the South-North confrontation.

We were not allow to bring bags into the tunnel, cannot take picture inside the tunnel and MUST wear safely helmet before going in. The whole tunnel took me almost 2 hrs to walk from the start to the end, and the temperature inside the tunnel was slight colder than the weather outside, so even though I took 2 hour to walk, I also didn't sweat at all. While walking the tunnel, thinking that the North Korean dig the tunnel by hand makes me think that I should be their life is really hard because of the Korean war that they have to live their life this way. Sometime we just forget the good things that we receive in life and we only look at the things that we didn't receive. Maybe I should re-look into my life again instead of blaming people for the things that I had missed.

I have to say, although the whole trip is boring and dry but it's interesting. As we are born in a period where there is no war and peaceful country, we don't know the hardship and the pain the people who had went through war period. It's a shame I'm not very clear about Singapore's war period but since I chose to join this trip, I feel that I should feel for them as if I am going through myself. When I go back to Singapore, I think I will want to join one of Singapore's war museum to understand what Singaporean went through during the World War 2.

After the whole tour, we went out for dinner with the whole group (people who had no other plans after the trip). The Korean student introduce us to a gilled chicken place, we left the ordering part to the Korean and the others just sat down and rest. We started to chat around in all kind of language that we know, as some of the students korean are still not till the level that is able to strike a conversation. After spending one whole day outside, I just want to go home asap, saw some people starting leaving, so I tagged along and took the subway back home.

Korea Life - day 216 (week 31) / (Seoul) School field trip - Natar show

Korea Life - 26 sept (Day 216 week 31)

This terms's field trip slight different from the other term due to there are too many public holiday in this month so they have to do some slight changes. This term school field is not held on the next day of the exam but was held right after our written and listening exam (oral will be held on another day).

After listening exam, went to Mr Pizza for pizza buffet with classmate. Although there is not much of choice for us to choose but we still ate a lot but we turn out that we didn't have enough time to enjoy our food. We waited for the train for so long that we were late, by the time we reached the meeting area, everyone has went in.

The show is very different from the shows that I had watched before. Although there is not much of talking but it's easy for people who don't understand Korean to watch. The actions and the dances were fantasy that there is not one moment that the show is boring! But if it is because of school field trip, I find that the ticket price is way too expensive. Got no place to go after the show, I just went back home after that.

Yahoo Article - Your earphones could make you sick!

I always thinks that earphones are just something to help ease the noise surrounding, and let me relax in my own world for a while. There are times that friends will borrow from each other if they forget their earphone and at that time, I will think there is nothing much to worry as long as they remember to return. However reading this article, I don't think I will lent my earphone out to other people anymore !!

Cut and paste from http://www.thehealthsite.com/diseases-conditions/your-earphones-are-causing-you-health-problems/

Your Earphone could make you sick !!

Technology is improving day by day, but the advancement is leaving many of us trapped in the comforts and luxuries, imposing multiple side effects on our health. One such technology affecting our health indirectly is the use of earphones and headphones. There are many people who use earphones without knowledge of the kind of health issues they could cause. People using earphone are actually placing their hearing at peril.

Earphones are very small gadgets, but there is a huge list of side effects using them and the list is increasing everyday. We see many people walking around with earphones, including us. Earphones not only affect the user but also the surroundings. This is hard to believe, but it's true.

The risks of using earphones

- Hearing complications or hearing loss
While using earphones, the sound reaches the ears directly. This sound should not exceed 90 decibels. Any volume above this threshold impacts hearing. There are many companies which manufacture earphones, making sure that the quality of the audio is clear and convenient for those who are using them, In order to get the best out of the earphones you will have to insert these earphones directly in the ear canals and this will result in blockage of air passage. This further results in ear infections, ear wax and finally even loss of hearing.

- Side effects on brain
Earphones and headphones produce electromagnetic waves, proven to be dangerous for the human brain. However, there are no studies or evidences that can prove this point. But those who use earphones, bluetooth and headphones on a daily basis are prone to problems related to brain

Those who use earphones and headphones regularly tend to visit the doctor with a complaint of severe ear pain. You will feel some strange and different sound buzzing in your ears. You also feel numbness in your ears. There are studies which have proved that excess use of earphones result in numbness and pain in the ears.

Precautions to be taken while using earphones:

After this article, you will definitely be scared of using earphones on regular basis. Then again, you will want to enjoy your favourite music and this is mandatory for some people as well.

For all those addicted to earplugs, below are few tips which help them to stay away from dangerous health hazards while still enjoying using their earphones.
~ Stop using stylish tine earphones as they enter your ear canal directly. Use bigger headphones.
~ You should always have your personal earphones. Do not share them, not even with family members.
~ If your earphones have a rubber or sponge cover, then try changing them at least once in a month.
~ Do not play music with loud sound. Try to keep it as low as possible.
~ Avoid earphones when you are travelling as you will increase the volume due to the disturbing sounds around you and that proves harmful.
~ Try to give rest to your ears once every 15 minutes.
Gadget and technology enhancements should make your life entertaining and easy but not at the cost of your health. When you use them under limit, you can definitely get the best out of them. It is important to understand 'how much is too much. '

korea life - day 206 (week 30) / (seoul) musical - Zorro

Korea Life - 17 Sept (day 206 week 30)

Even since I had watched my first musical in Korea, I kept looking for new musical to watch and recently there is a new musical <Zorro> that is starring by Beast's Yang Yoseob (which is one of my favourite idol)!! And this time, one of my classmate decided to join me for this musical as she is also a fan of Yang Yoseob.

WHO WON'T BE INTERESTED AFTER SEEING THIS HANDSOME POSTER OF YANG YOSEOB?!?!?!
Taken from : https://alwaysbeast.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/yoseob-for-zorro.jpg
Today is the day of the musical, after school we went back home to put of bags first then went out to look for the musical theatre. Although knew that he theatre is not very far away but we don't really know where is the exact spot, so it will better if we go out earlier to look for the place then late for the show. We had light dinner on the way there and when we found the place, we went in to look around and take picture with the posters while waiting for the show to start.

The theatre is much smaller than the theatre that I watched the first musical. However it doesn't change the quality of the show, it's as good as the first musical that I watched. This musical has lot of fun and lively music that make everyone laugh. Sad that the show only last 2 over hours only, hope that the musical can last even longer. Once the show has ended, we have just took the subway back home and get ready for class tomorrow.

Korea life - day 197 (week29) / (Seoul) Everland

Korea Life - 8 Sept (Day 198 week 29)

This few days are Koreans' big holiday, 3 consecutive days no need to go to school. Since no need to go to school during that period, it's a shame that I just stay home the whole day so plan to go out with Qi even though there should be a lot of people.

We checked a few places at to where to go as I know that a lot of places will be close during that holiday. In the end we decided to head to Everland as it's the open to foreigner at a 50% discount (that period only).  But to go here, we will have to take subway and bus. First we took the subway from Hyehwa station to Gangman station (come out from exit 10), walk around 300m then change to bus 5002 and still have to take 40-50min. We were lucky that we were the first few on the queue, so we had a seat when we boarded the bus, we continue to nap on the bus.

When we arrived, many people were already queuing up to buy ticket. We spent 10 min to just to get the ticket and we still have to queue up to go into the theme park. We first went to the zoo as it's the nearest to the exit, took the sky train down to <Zootopia> to start with our day. First we queue up (which took us more than an hour before our turn) for the Safari world and looked at the animals, then spent another hour queue up for the Lost valley, and took fast pass for Amazon Express. Because we took fast pass for Amazon Express, we didn't had to queue up for an hour, it took us five min and we were able to take the ride already.

Lunch at one of the restaurant at Global Fair zone. But because there are a lot of people talking and running around, we just want to grab a seat and rest. While CL book the table for us, the rest of us went to buy lunch (and we have to queue up again, although there is not as much people as the queue outside.), even after we buy the food, we still have to wait for it to be prepare. By the time we are able to eat, we had waited for more than an hour already.

After lunch, Qi and I decided that we will go for one roller coaster ride (It's a pity that we don't take any ride since we had spent so much time there.) despite of the crowd. We choose to ride the "Rolling X-Train" instead of "T Express" as "T-Express" is too much for someone who just finish lunch. Saw it has 2 360 degree so think should be fun, but when is our turn, the ride turn out to be too short and we didn't have much fun, but it's already time for us to head home (since we will have to take quite long to travel back too.)

When we arrived at the bus station, we saw that there is bus which is headed to another station but it is still easy for us to travel back. So instead of waiting for the bus that we took this morning , we took the other bus to the other station. We were too tired, so we sleep through the whole bus ride and didn't talk to each other at all!
